Fits:Ā AllĀ E8X 1 series & E9XĀ 3 series Non-M's ,Ā E9X M3, E82 1M

Benefits:
-Increases buckling failure stress by ~+150%
-Retains a buckling mode of failure to avoid fuel tank puncture.
Note:Ā This product is not recommended for street use due to risk of fuel tank rupture if abnormal buckling occurs.Ā 

Material:Ā 
-2mm 250MPa yield zinc coated mild steelĀ (zincanneal)

Recommendations:
-The rubber bushings at either end of this arm can be upgraded with OEM ball joints.
-Preferred - LEMFƖRDER No. 3067901
-Alternative - MEYLE No. 314710005
Note: The above ball joints can also be used to replace the rubber in the upper trailing & camber arms using outĀ Rear Upper Control Arm Ball-Joint Conversion Shims.

This kit includes a pair of steel plates designed to strengthen the kink in the factory sheet metal lower trailing arms to prevent unwanted bending when driving the car aggressively.

These plates only box the designed failure point in the middle of the arm with a open C channel between the plate and ends to still provide a buckling form of failure in the event of accident to prevent the arm from lunging into and puncturing the fuel tank.
